Snap Cuts 1,000 Jobs on April 15, CEO Says AI Enables "New Way of Working"
Snap, the parent company of Snapchat, announced on April 15, 2026 that it would lay off roughly 16 percent of its full-time workforce and close more than 300 open roles.
Chief executive Evan Spiegel wrote: "Rapid advancements in artificial intelligence enable our teams to reduce repetitive work, increase velocity, and better support our community, partners, and advertisers"
